Women in Motorcycling
WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT IT ?
Created in 2006, the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission, is an active and engaged advocate for women in motorcycling. Its mission is clear: increase the participation of women in all activities and at all levels. To do so the Commission develops projects to remove barriers and explores opportunities for more women to be part of motorcycling. It establishes and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders and external partners to facilitate the active involvement of women at all levels.
The goal of our commission is to promote and increase the presence of women in all motorcycling activities (sporting and non-sporting). Develop, enhance and create more opportunities for women to take part in motorcycling. Will you join us?
WORLD CONFERENCE ON WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS
The FIM and FIA Women’s Commissions have united their forces to organise the first ever joint Conference for Women in Motorsport.
The conference will be held in Vierumäki, Finland on 17 and 18 of August. Participants will have the chance to hear from top level speakers from various continents and horizons such as Maria Herrera from Spain, first female to win the FIM CEV Repsol series, International circuit racing rider and Cover Girl Ambassador Shelina Moreda from USA, World Superbike Team Owner and Creator of Moriwaki Cup Midori Moriwaki from Japan, AMA EnduroCross Champion Sandra Gomez from Spain and women´s Hard Enduro pioneer Kirsten Landman from South Africa.
In 2016 we launched a global awareness campaign focusing on raising the profile of all the women involved in motorcycling activities and bringing their presence into the limelight. Have a look at all the interesting stories we collected!
