WHAT IS YOUR ROLE/POSITION IN MOTORCYCLING?
Motorcycle test rider and blogger for MissBiker Italy, I ride and review motorcycles and women's motorcycling gear.
I lead novice lady biker groups and promote awareness to female riders with the industry. Also, I am currently an intern at Ducati design center.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MOTORCYCLING?
Out of necessity. I was 15 and I needed to be independent and I had to able to move. My first job was pizza delivery with my scooter. Ever since I have let the passion for motorcycles to lead my way in my personal and professional life. This passion led me to move to Italy and currently my life revolves around motorcycles.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE/ENJOY IN MOTORCYCLING?
I love motorcycles first of all as a dynamic sport and a discipline. I enjoy riding alone or with company. Professionally, as a designer, I find motorcycles to be extremely complex objects which require balance and deep understanding of mechanical components in order to design them.
WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE, YOUR GOAL?
My current goal is to help make motorcycling more visible and accessible to women, as well as making the female market segment more visible to the industry. I try having as much fun as possible in the process!
WHY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND MOTORCYCLING?
I find motorcycling to be an empowering and liberating experience. When piloting a bike, you are on your own. By learning and training the technique you are able to trust yourself and your decisions and ultimately accomplish unbelievable feats. You don't have time to second guess yourself or to doubt yourself in the bike. So basically I recommend motorcycles as means of personal growth to women of all ages.
DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL/MENTOR?
My first mentor was my husband, a motorcycle enthusiast and a professional in the motorcycle riding gear sector. He has taught me the basics of motorcycle motorcycle riding and never stopped supporting me from day 1.
