WHAT IS YOUR ROLE/POSITION IN MOTORCYCLING?
I am a Clerk of the Course for MX and Off Road. My three boys are MX riders. I am the Vice Chairperson for Lobelo Racing Club Francistown. I am the Chairperson for the FIM Africa WIM Commission. I am also on the FIM Africa Working Group for MX. I am part of the team that organises the Botswana National MX Team. I create and organise motorcycling events I am also one of the first MX Lady Riders to participate in our Botswana National Championship.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MOTORCYCLING?
My son loved bikes and I knew that if I wanted to teach him and keep in safe in motorcycling, I needed to get involved. Motorsport is deeply rooted in my family, I was involved in karting at the age of 12.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE/ENJOY IN MOTORCYCLING?
Absolutely everything. It keeps our family close and its something that we all love and can experience and share together. It teaches discipline and I also believe that those that have motorsport behind them will be safer drivers on the roads.
WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE, YOUR GOAL?
I wear several different hats, so I have many objectives in motorcycling:
- Grow the sport in our country
- Grow Women in Motorcycling on our continent
- Teach people about safe motorcycling
- Create motorcycling events that grow tourism in our country
- Develop grass roots development courses
- Develop officials in the sport
- HAVE FUN!
WHY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND MOTORCYCLING?
Its great fun and for us, its something that we all love and participate in, its an opportunity to create memories that no other sport can do.
