WHAT IS YOUR ROLE/POSITION IN MOTORCYCLING?
I was the first woman to ride in Cross-Country Rally in Brazil (1998), and I'm still the only one. 3 times Brazilian champion (against men) and second place in FIM Women's Cross country Rallies 2013. First woman riding motorcycles on Rally dos Sertões to which I've participated 16 times.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MOTORCYCLING?
Started on motocross at the age of 7, because my father used to ride it. It was in 1987. Later, when I was 18, changed motocross for rallies, that was my first time at dos Sertões. Since then, I've never stopped.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE/ENJOY IN MOTORCYCLING?
I like everything in motorcycling. Most of all, rally races, because of all the challenges it evolves. Riding for long distances, not knowing what´s coming next, meeting places I´d never go if it wasn´t for these races. I like riding on places I never been before, always fast, navigate and all the challenges rallies have.
WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE, YOUR GOAL?
Push my limits, try to get good results, specially because I race against men. And for sure, feel the great pleasure that only a motorcycle can provide. Win as many races I can! Have fun with the bike and meeting new places and people.
WHY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND MOTORCYCLING?
First because it´s a sport, it´s healthy, and I recommend any sport for every person. Second because you can go further and faster on motorcycles, specially on heavy traffics along the cities in my country. And most of all, because motorcycling makes you feel so good that´s something you only know when you ride it, so hard to explain!
DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL/MENTOR THAT ENCOURAGED YOU TO JOIN MOTORCYCLING?
I have my father, who used to be a great motocross rider. And my brother Ramon Sacilotti, who is a great rally rider (5 times Brazilian champion).
