WHAT IS YOUR ROLE/POSITION IN MOTORCYCLING?
I'll try to introduce myself as deemed necessary...I am French-Lebanese, born in Lebanon and living in France since 1982. I'm 49, mother of 3 boys (22 y.o. and 21 y.o. (twins!!). I am married and riding bikes is my passion since the age of 16.
I am more a traveler/adventurer than a racer and I do appreciate those brave women who dare competing... I ride an average of 15 000 km ( yep! 3 zero!) per year, mostly in France and Europe. I have been lucky enough to go 4 times to the Dolomite (Italian and Austrian Tirol), several times in Switzerland, Germany, Spain etc... and once in the Czech Republic. In August and September this year, I have the project to go to Italy, then Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro (3 weeks). My husband has the same bike as me (mine is red/burgundy and his is white) and we always travel together and also from time to time with some friends who are trail bikes owners (mostly).
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MOTORCYCLING?
When I was 16, I used to accompany respectively my 3 brothers (older much older than me) who were all bikers, mostly on trail and adventure bikes. I promised myself than one day I would get my motorbike driving license ;-)
WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN MOTORCYCLING?
Freedom, feeling the wind, concretise my dreams by traveling the most I could.
WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE, YOUR GOAL?
Undertaking adventure rides mostly in Europe, and hopefully on other continents if time and money allow me to do so.
WHY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND MOTORCYCLING?
Before riding, I was not really self confident. Now that I ride very often (15 000 km per year is an average), I'm really proud of myself and I guess many women should at least try and see how easily they will feel so desired freedom!
DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL/MENTOR?
Long time ago, my 3 brothers transmitted me their own passion for riding, same one that I personally transmitted to my hubby afterwards ;-) And now I can say that riding has become one of my main reasons for living ;-) It makes me smile all the time ;-)
