WHAT IS YOUR ROLE/POSITION IN MOTORCYCLING?
Well, I was riding since the beginning in the FIM Women´s Trial World Championship is all started in 2000. At the end of 2009 I retired as a professional rider. Since 2006 I´m a member of the FIM Women´s in Motorcycling Commission and now I´m a FIM CFM Bureau Member, FIM Women´s Trial Section Advisor since 2010 and FIM Trial Commission Expert. I have organized 14 FIM Women´s Trial Training Camps!
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MOTORCYCLING?
My grandfather was a track racer and then a Motocross rider. My dad was racing Motocross on German championship level and also in some Motocross World Rounds, but he never had the budget to complete a full season on World Championship level! When he retired from Motocross riding he started for fun with trials, this is how everything started. I got my first motorcycle with 6 years and I started practicing with the age of 12 years. Since now I can not imagine how life would be without trials :-)
WHAT DO YOU LIKE/ENJOY IN MOTORCYCLING?
Trial is like the real life, the are ups and downs :-) I love it!
WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE, YOUR GOAL?
My goal is to bring my favorite sport to young children and that they will have the same fun which I had always when I ride a trial motorcycle!
DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL/MENTOR THAT ENCOURAGED YOU?
Jutta Kleinschmidt, because my dad always told me that if I want to race the Paris-Dakar one day, I first have to learn how to ride trials, then Enduro and then I can think about the Dakar. This goal does not exist at the moment anymore because my elbow which I broke in 5 places in 2004 would never survive a Dakar :-/
WHY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND MOTORCYCLING?
To ride a motorcycle has nothing to do with gender, it is all about enjoying live!
