Emma Terho is a five time Olympian in Ice Hockey. She became the youngest ever Olympic medallist for Finland at the age of 16 when her team took bronze during the Nagano Olympic Games in 1998. A former captain of the Finnish Women’s National Team, Emma has also played in the US and Russia. She is an all-American and her jersey is the first that to have been retired in the history of Ohio State University Women’s hockey. Emma is also the first ever female to become a board member in the Finnish Ice Hockey Federation and in PyeongChang in 2018 her peers elected her a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission.
In addition to her sporting achievements, Emma has a Master’s degree in Finance and is a mother of two.
