María, who is Spanish, was born in 1996 in Oropesa, Toledo. She is currently competing in the SuperSport 600 category of the FIM Superbike World Championship and the MOTOE Championship.
María started riding a motorcycle when she was four years old. In 2004, at the age of eight, she competed in the “Cuña de Campeones” (cradle of champions). Between 2005 and 2010, María competed in “Cuña de Campeones” in the 70cc, 80cc and 125cc categories and was in contention for the Championship.
In 2011, the 15-year old María became the Champion of the “Campeonato Mediterraneo de Velocidad” in the PreMoto3 category with team Monlau. The following year, María competed for the first time in the CEV (Spanish Road Racing Championship) with team Monlau, going on to make history in 2013 by winning two races at the Spanish Championship with Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0. She also participated for the first time in the FIM World Championship MotoGP, in the Moto3 category, as a Wild Card rider at the Aragon GP.
In 2014 Maria spent another season in the CEV (Moto3) and participated twice as a Wild Card rider in the MotoGP series (Jerez GP and Barcelona GP). In 2015 Maria put in her first complete season in the MotoGP Championship, Moto3 category, with Husqvarna Factory Laglisse. In 2016, for her second season in Moto3, she competed with her own team MH6 Team. Her third season, 2017, was fraught with problems. Maria was riding with several teams (AGR racing (12 races), Aspar Mahindra (1 race) and Cuña de Campeones (1 race)).
2018 was Maria´s first season in the SSP300 category in the SBK World Championship and her first season in the Stock600 category in the Spanish Championship. In addition to riding, María loves drawing, skating and enjoys her time with her family.
